Brief Introduction
Superintendent Shih-Chung Huang graduated from the Department of Medicine of the National Defense Medical Center School in the 93rd class. He has served as director of the Medical department, director of Medical Education and Research Center, and director of the Cardiology department of Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital. On August 1, 2023, he was ordered to take charge of the Kaohsiung General Hospital of the National Army. As the superintendent of the Pingtung Branch of the hospital, he has completed renovation projects in the hospital including tiles on each floor of the camp, waterproof layer, outdoor parking lot, road lighting equipment, guardrails, ladders, waterproof gates, etc. Important hardware facilities will be replaced with power. Central UPS, transformers and expanded ICU containment area.
During Superintendent Shih-Chung Huang`s tenure, he guided the teams such as Day Care Center, Dementia Shared Care Center, and Long-term psychiatric care base to devote themselves to long-term care services for dementia and mentally handicapped people, and constantly improved the quality of care to provide excellent long-term care services for local residents; he also created home disability cases. The family physician visits and care mechanism at home enhances the hospital’s competitiveness in local long-term care operations, expands the breadth of medical services, simultaneously alleviates disability in the community, and achieves the service purpose of community hospitals.
In addition, Superintendent Shih-Chung Huang supervised the hospital’s information department to apply for ISO27001:2013 certification, which was passed on October 26, 2023, significantly improving the hospital’s information management efficiency, avoiding the risk of personal information leakage, and providing a safe medical environment for the public.
