Anesthesiology Division
- The anesthesiology department is an independent department and is affiliated to the medical department.
- The main offering services are surgical anesthesia in the operating room, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, plastic surgery, urology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology and oral surgery, etc.
- 15 full-scale general anesthesia work station systems, all equipped with physiological monitors such as blood pressure, heartbeat, blood oxygen concentration, and end-tidal carbon dioxide concentration are available for daily anesthetic work.
- To meet the requirements for open heart surgery and anesthesia for critically ill patients, transesophageal ultrasound, continuous cardiac output monitors, BIS monitors, Hemo Sonic monitors, etc. are implemented; For patients with difficult airway, the department offers multiple choices for intubation including endotracheal endoscopy, Trachlight units, Fastrach intubation laryngeal mask, laryngoscope-fiber optic intubation guide bougie, Glidescope, etc. to ensure the safety of surgical patients. In order to improve the quality of anesthesia care, pre-anesthesia consultation and pre-operative visits are conducted before surgery. After surgery, all patients are sent to the anesthesia recovery room to receive comprehensive post-anesthesia care. They are not transferred back to the ward until achieving stable vital signs and full consciousness. A follow-up visit is conducted the next day, and ongoing enhancement in medical quality are implemented based on patient feedback.
- In addition to surgical anesthesia, the department also devotes on pain medicine promotion. In addition to post-operative acute pain control, consultation and management for patients with chronic pain and cancer pain are also provided.
- At present, we continue to improve the competence of our personnel in order to achieve better anesthesia medical care quality for patients.
