Division of Clinical Pathology
- The Division of clinical pathology comprises Outpatient and Emergency Room examination Unit, Blood Bank Unit, Microbiology Unit, Serum Immunology Unit, etc. In 2020, the Southern Toxicology Testing Center was established, and on March, 2021, we obtained approval from Taiwan Food and Drug Administration for drug abuse urine testing.
- Our division adopts state-of-the-art fully automated analyzers from well-known European and American brands to provide a wide range of examination services. Actively participating in quality improving activity, quality improvement class, and other quality activities. Our policy strives to enhance the quality of clinical examination operations. Regular participation in proficiency tests organized by the Taiwan Association of Medical Laboratory Science, the National Health Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration has led to accreditation from the Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare for infectious disease testing.
- Our quality system adopts the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) ISO 15189 standard. Continuous monitoring and review of quality are conducted through quality control and control processes, improvement measures and policies, as well as evaluation and review meetings. Quality operations, both vertically and horizontally, are established in routine quality operations before, within, and after examination analysis.

Swift and accurate inspections, enhanced customer satisfaction, and compliance with international standards. Quality Goals: Implement and comply with quality indicators set by the department, moving towards the hospital’s vision.
Inspection Standard Operating Procedures To ensure the quality of inspection results, the department has established a four-tier quality document system, including one Quality Manual, 54 Quality Procedure Manuals, 193 Standard Operating Manuals, and 387 forms. The manuals cover operational procedures in various stages of inspection analysis, including before, during, and after analysis. Each medical laboratory scientist follows the procedures outlined in the Standard Operating (Operating) Manuals to ensure the precision and accuracy of inspection results.
