Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI, Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses magnetic fields and radio waves to quickly obtain high‑precision images of internal body structures without harming the body. Unlike CT or X‑ray, MRI does not involve ionizing radiation exposure and is widely used clinically to examine organs such as the brain, spine, joints, abdomen, and pelvis. To enhance medical services, our hospital has introduced a new 3T Philips MRI, providing patients with better medical imaging.
In short: 3T MRI has a stronger magnetic field, usually offering higher image resolution and better visibility of certain lesions; 1.5T MRI is more stable, has a broader applicability, and patients with certain implants more easily meet safety criteria.

How to choose?
Brain, blood vessels, prostate, joints, etc. that require viewing fine structures: 3T has an advantage.
Having a cardiac pacemaker, artificial implants, or a lot of metal: Should first confirm whether the device permits 3T; cannot decide solely based on “3T is more advanced”.
General routine examinations: 1.5T already provides very good diagnostic images.
3T MRI is an important advancement in modern medical imaging, offering more detailed and faster examination results, helping physicians with early diagnosis and treatment. Before the scan, a radiology specialist should evaluate which model is most suitable based on the examination area, diagnostic needs, and patient condition; a higher magnetic field is not always better.
