History

This hospital originally began preparations to establish the Animal Experiment Laboratory in 1998 (ROC Year 87), with budget allocated through the Civilian Medical Services Office for the first and second phases of construction. The Animal Experiment Management Committee was established in May 2002 (ROC Year 91) to provide a quality environment for animal experiments.

To integrate research resources and improve efficiency, the two animal and genetics laboratories were merged into the Medical Laboratory in May 2012 (ROC Year 101).
