Since March 14, 2003 (92nd year of the Republic), the Medical Quality and Patient Safety Committee was established, dedicated to building a safe medical environment, continuously improving medical quality, to ensure patient safety during care.
To plan and integrate hospital‑wide medical quality and patient safety policies, and to promote the planning, implementation, and evaluation of medical quality and patient safety initiatives, the Medical Quality Management Center was officially established on July 13, 2022 (111th year). The Vice President for Education serves as CEO, senior internal and surgical physicians act as Deputy CEOs, and the center’s headquarters is composed of quality managers, data engineers, and administrative staff, aiming to enhance the hospital‑wide patient safety culture and quality of medical care.
To strengthen the organizational structure, improve medical quality and patient safety management functions, integrate hospital‑wide medical quality and patient safety policies, and promote information‑based and intelligent quality management, the organization was expanded in February 2025 (114th year). The Vice President for Education also serves as Director of the Medical Quality Center, with senior physicians and nursing supervisors as deputy directors, overseeing organizational management and operations.
