Public notice prohibiting sexual harassment and sexual assault
- No one may sexually harass or sexually assault another person.
- Sexual harassment carries a fine of between NT$10,000 and NT$100,000; where power or opportunity is abused, the fine is increased by one half. Where an opportunity is taken to touch another person's chest, buttocks or private parts, the victim may bring criminal charges, and the penalty may be up to two years' imprisonment, detention, or a fine of up to NT$100,000, or both. Sexual assault carries penalties under the Criminal Code of up to the death penalty, life imprisonment or imprisonment of ten years or more.
- Besides criminal and civil liability, anyone who sexually harasses or assaults another person will also be disciplined under this unit's internal rules.
