Hospital Qualified for Liver Transplantation
Under the leadership of Hospital Director Professor Hsieh Tsung-Pao, our organ transplant team successfully passed the review of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and was approved as a hospital qualified to perform liver retrieval and transplantation surgery (effective from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2029), becoming the first regional hospital in the military medical system to achieve transplant qualification.
Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital is dedicated to providing superior medical services for military personnel and civilians. In recent years, the hospital has established the Southern Region Medical Alliance to promote medical technology exchanges and learning, continuously advancing medical techniques across all specialties, and successfully achieving the major milestone of organ transplant qualification. Beyond liver transplantation, the hospital is actively preparing its kidney transplant qualification application. Going forward, the hospital will continue to strengthen quality and capacity, safeguard the health of local military personnel and civilians, and make practical progress toward becoming the National Military Medical Center for the Southern Region.
