In response to the national digital transformation policy and to substantially improve the hospital's administrative and medical service quality, our hospital, supported by the funding of the “Healthy Taiwan Deep Cultivation Project,” has recently actively promoted information talent training and self‑built system projects. By conducting “AI / Ruby on Rails technical training,” our hospital not only effectively strengthens staff’s information development capabilities, but also directly produces multiple management systems that meet frontline practical needs, demonstrating abundant results.
Introducing AI collaborative development to strengthen digital transformation capacity: This project specifically addressed internal needs, planning a complete “Ruby on Rails foundational series course.” The course roots in Web development basics, guiding staff to deeply understand the MVC architecture and system design process. Unlike traditional programming courses, this training incorporates “AI collaborative development tools” in a timely manner, using hands‑on practice so participants not only build solid project development concepts but also leverage AI to greatly improve coding efficiency.
Write your own system yourself! Development results driven by pain points The value of technology lies in solving real problems. Through the refinement of the course, our team directly transformed what they learned into concrete outputs, successfully independently developing and launching multiple information systems that align with the “human‑centered spirit” and effectively reduce staff burden:
1. Document Tracking Management System: Previously, document circulation often took time and was difficult to monitor progress in real time. The team independently developed a document tracking system that implements process monitoring through a digital interface, making each unit’s handling progress clear at a glance, substantially and perceptibly optimizing the hospital’s administrative management efficiency.
2. Work Log Generation System: For the daily tedious administrative record tasks of staff, the team developed a dedicated “Work Log Generation Tool.” Staff only need to operate via the system’s intuitive menu to apply a standard template and generate a PDF work log with one click. This not only ensures standardization of administrative work but also greatly increases production speed, returning valuable time to staff.
3. 802 Official Website Optimization: Our digital front “802 Official Website” is also a significant result of this technical training and project implementation. We hope that through continuous optimization of the website structure and services, we can provide military and civilian patients with a smoother, more user‑friendly information inquiry experience.
Our hospital firmly believes that the most practical systems often come from frontline personnel who understand the needs best. The infusion from the “Healthy Taiwan Deep Cultivation Project” has successfully planted the seed of digital transformation within the hospital. In the future, we will continue to apply agile development techniques and AI assistance to create more user‑centered smart medical and administrative systems, providing higher‑quality services to military and civilian personnel in the southern region.
