If you need to undergo surgical treatment, please read the following surgical information carefully.
Preoperative Precautions
- Preoperative examinations: Complete ECG, blood tests, X-rays, etc., as instructed by the physician
- Fasting: Generally, you must fast for 8 hours before surgery (including water)
- Medication adjustment: Inform the physician of any medications you are currently taking, especially anticoagulants
- Consent form signing: You need to sign the surgical consent form and anesthesia consent form before surgery
- Valuables: On the day of surgery, do not wear jewelry or bring valuable items
Day-of-Surgery Procedure
- Check in at the ward or operating room at the scheduled time
- Change into surgical attire
- Preoperative visit by the anesthesiologist
- Enter the operating room for the surgery
- After surgery, be taken to the recovery room for observation
- Return to the ward or intensive care unit
Postoperative Precautions
- Eat as directed by the physician (starting with clear liquids)
- Cooperate with nurses for turning, coughing, and deep breathing exercises
- If you experience pain or discomfort, inform the nursing staff
- Keep the wound dry and clean
- Take medications as prescribed
