1. In accordance with the Ministry of Health and Welfare's letter No. 1120260795 dated May 24, 2023.

2. Under the trend of global warming, recent climate change in our country has caused extremely high temperatures. Without appropriate protective measures, anyone may suffer heat injury, especially vulnerable groups such as infants and young children, the elderly (e.g., in long‑term care facilities, at home, living alone), people with chronic illnesses, those taking medication, outdoor workers, athletes or workers in confined spaces and the overweight, students, pregnant women, homeless individuals, and persons with disabilities (particularly categories 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8), who are prone to heat injury due to high temperatures.

3. To strengthen the central and local governments' preparedness and rescue capabilities for high‑temperature heat injuries and to provide diverse care measures and channels for vulnerable groups, the Ministry of Health and Welfare provides the aforementioned heat‑injury prevention educational materials, reminding the public that in the scorching summer heat they should avoid or reduce exposure to high temperatures, stay “cool,” “replenish” adequate fluids, and remain vigilant in mind, in order to prevent heat injuries; all units are requested to disseminate this information within their respective organizations.
